The thermal shrinkage of heat shrink tubing and heat shrink sleeves may seem very simple, but of course, manual shrinkage of small batches of heat shrink tubing will not cause significant problems; However, when heating and shrinking heat shrink tubing in batches, if it is mixed irregularly and placed in an oven or tunnel furnace for shrinkage, it may cause many problems, greatly affecting production efficiency, increasing production costs, and reducing the insulation protection performance of the heat shrink tubing.

Problem 1: Adhesive bonding of heat shrink tubing leads to product perforation

1. Arrange all heat shrink tubing in an orderly manner on corrugated paper to prevent adhesion;

2. Reduce the shrinkage temperature to a higher thermal shrinkage temperature provided by the supplier;

3. Choose normal wall thickness pipes or thicker pipes.

Problem 2: Shrinking and foaming when the length exceeds 50 centimeters

1. Shrink unilaterally from left to right to expel air;

2. Shrink with hot water without affecting product performance;

3. Notify the heat shrink tubing technicians to arrange for special customization.

Problem 3: Shrinkage caused by stretching of heat shrink tubing

1. The stretching of heat shrink tubing is generally controlled within 5%. If a lower stretching rate is required, it needs to be specially customized;

2. The stretching of the thin tube causes uneven shrinkage length of the product: Use a wind tube to shrink the two sides, and then shrink the middle part

Question 4: When cutting heat shrink tubing, it is required to calculate the size accurately

1. Accurately calculate the cutting size of heat shrink tubing and estimate the dimensional tolerance of heat shrink tubing cutting;

2. When the cutting length is above 30mm and the stretching requirements are strict, special customization is required.

Problem 5: The heat shrink sleeve does not shrink properly, the size of the heat shrink sleeve is too large, and the size after shrinkage is larger than the required size

1. Replace the existing casing with a smaller size heat shrink tubing;

2. Choose heat shrink tubing with high shrinkage ratio;

3. Due to the low shrinkage temperature, low-temperature tubes are used for those that have not shrunk.

Problem 6: The wall thickness of the heat shrink sleeve is thick and the shrinkage is slow

1. Use high shrinkage ratio heat shrink tubing or ultra-thin heat shrink tubing.

Problem 7: Color difference in heat shrink tubing

1. There are various types and colors of casing, and the color of casing is greatly affected by factors such as the mixing of mother materials and the batch of raw materials;

2. The color of the high and low pressure busbars is inconsistent, and the color of the pipes varies due to the different formula systems of the high and low pressure busbars. The color of the heat shrink tubing varies from batch to batch. Different batches of heat shrink tubing may have different colors due to the use of different raw materials from the same batch of heat shrink tubing.
